“What is Christian Science and what is it that Christian Scientists do?

This book by Florence Roberts will help to answer those questions. The book is perfect for beginners like me who have wanted a peek at the process they go through when presented with a problem. Her writing style is clear and direct and frequently has insights that I haven't seen in other CS literature.

The author didn't grow up in Christian Science so she had to learn, step by step, how to approach life from this spiritual viewpoint which makes this a very valuable document for those who don't have that background. She fearlessly documents mistakes in her thinking that were barriers to her relationship with God and what she did to work with those impediments.

That is not to say that this is an elementary text or is only for beginners. Christian Science demands as much integration and integrity of thought and belief of which we are capable. The author's examples gives one a much clearer idea of how to go about that in examining the relationship between our own thinking, believing and experiencing. And whether one is a beginner or a Christian Science practitioner, that is an ongoing process, and a careful reading of this text can help with that.”
