There was a time when I expected something to go wrong whenever some good came my way! We could be on a vacation “having fun,” and lurking in the back of my thought would be the aggressive silent arguments that something was going to go wrong.

A few years ago I used to drive about 40 minutes to work. At the time, one of my enslaving fears was being in a car on the road, whether I was driving or someone else was. Many negative thoughts would come which made me very fearful. Large cargo trucks, that would come so close sometimes and pass by so fast, had me on edge most of the time.

This week I was inadvertently led to watch a worship song on YouTube. I don’t know how I got there, but I got there. I was so grateful that such a song is being played on a platform such as America’s Got Talent. The song talks about “I am no longer a slave to fear.” It touched me because I used to be a slave to fear, for so long, and it is this Love of God that heals.

Last week I had a dream; it was a very vivid dream. It seemed as though I was falling into a very dark abyss of very sharp, pointed objects. I looked up though, and I saw at an angle a cone shaped light. It was very, very bright. I kept saying, “I will follow the light, I will follow the light.” With that, I woke up.

Obedience to Christ Jesus’ greatest two commandments: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,” plus the second, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,” must be the perfect guide as to how we live.

When we seek God first, we find our true selves and discover that we have never really lacked anything!

Nothing is above God, so whatever we’re going through, if we have made the Truth our own, we need not be afraid. Trust in God.
